Study

Full-channel attribution study

A six-week reconstruction of credit across paid media, retail media, store traffic, and — when you run them — app campaigns, written so brand, agency, and finance can share one table.

Small team reviewing printed campaign calendars together

Format: On-site briefing in Petaling Jaya or remote, then desk analysis

Duration: Five to seven weeks

Where: Malaysia (national advertisers; regional brands with a Malaysian sales window)

Pricing basis: Quote after a scoping call; typical band RM 28,000–RM 62,000

Request a briefing

This is the flagship piece of work at App Meadow Core. It is for Malaysian advertisers and their agencies who cannot agree which channels moved the period: last-click reports favour the final paid click or the marketplace voucher code, outdoor contractors point at footfall, and the app team points at install volume that never became a paying user.

Who it is for

Brand controllers, media leads, and agency planners who already run a mixed plan — television or connected TV, out-of-home, paid social, search, retail media on marketplaces, shopper programmes, and often an app campaign for installs or in-app orders. You need a credit reading you can take into a budget meeting, not a new login.

Result

You receive a written credit table for a named sales window, a short method note that states every rule used (time windows, duplicate-order handling, how app installs are treated versus in-app purchases), and a briefing session where we walk the table with the people who will defend it. We do not promise a single “winner channel.” We show where credit is stable and where it is sensitive to a rule change.

Scope

Included: collection of the media plan and invoice trail you already have; matching of order, store-visit, or in-app purchase files you supply; construction of path rules (last-click, position-based, and one agreed alternative); a conflict log where sources disagree; a two-hour readout.

Excluded: buying media on your behalf; building or hosting tracking pixels; rewriting the agency’s creative; legal opinions on contractor disputes; work outside the named sales window.

Provider

A named analyst from App Meadow Core leads the study. A second reader checks the credit table before the readout so a single tired evening does not become the official story.

Process

  1. Briefing. You bring the plan, the question (“did outdoor steal from search?” is a good one), and who must accept the table.
  2. File list. We send a plain list of extracts we need: placements, dates, spend, and the sales or install file.
  3. Reconciliation. We line spend against activity and flag gaps (missing flight dates, duplicated marketplace orders).
  4. Credit construction. Rules are written in ordinary language first, then applied.
  5. Readout. In Petaling Jaya or on a call, we sit with brand and agency together.

Duration and place

Five to seven weeks is usual once files arrive. The briefing can be at Level 10, 53 Demo Road, Petaling Jaya 00000, or remote. Analysis is done at our desk; we do not sit in your trading room unless you ask for an on-site file week.

Preparation

Appoint one person who can obtain media invoices and one who can export orders without customer identity numbers. Strip names and phone numbers before you send files. If the app campaign matters, say whether you care about installs, first purchases, or repeat in-app orders — those three produce different credit pictures.

Constraints

We cannot invent placements that were never invoiced. If a contractor will not share flight logs, that channel stays in the “unresolved” column. Studies that mix Malaysia with Singapore or Indonesia need a separate sales window for each market; we do not blend them.

Price

Quoted after scoping. Most national mixed plans in this band fall between RM 28,000 and RM 62,000 depending on channel count and whether app paths are in scope. A deposit of 40% holds the diary week. The remainder is due on delivery of the written table, before the readout if you prefer that sequence.

Next step

Request a briefing with the media list and the sales dates. We reply within two working days with either a scoping question or a suggested time.
